I’m poised inside a glorious flower. All around me are the pedals of friendship. They cushion me with, multiple colors and textures. The closest ones will close in on me when I need to feel that I won’t fall off the bloom, at night maybe, when I quiver and doubt.
Every morning the petals open up and expose me to the birds, the bees, the butterflies who bring and take nourishment from the pollen of all my experience. I release a fragrance of contentment. From time to time a hard slash of pruning comes along to make me regrow. When that happens, my stem is stronger, and my bloom more resplendent. Let it rain, let it shine, let me bloom.
